When it comes time to use your vehicle, your car battery is important. It gets your car running, keeps it running and powers lots of electrical parts, such as the lights, radio and so much more. A car battery can typically last multiple years and does need regular maintenance by cleaning the terminals and ensuring proper charging. Batteries: What to look out for?

Your battery may be damaged for a number of reason. But here are some common signs that your battery may be in need of an urgent repair/replacement:

Difficulty starting the engine: A weak battery may struggle to crank the engine, especially in cold weather

Clicking sound when trying to start: This indicates that the battery doesn't have enough power to turn the starter motor

Dim headlights and interior lights: A weak battery can cause the lights to be dim or flicker

Electrical system issues: A failing battery can cause problems with other electrical components, such as the radio, power windows, and climate control

Corrosion on the battery terminals: Corrosion can hinder the flow of electricity and damage the battery
